Paid Parking Zones (SPP)
Most large city centres have a Strefa Płatnego Parkowania, split into sub-zones (Śródmieście usually priciest). Pay at a parkomat or via mobile app (moBiBilet, SkyCash, mPay).
Hours and fees
- Weekdays ~08:00–18:00 (some until 20:00) in zone 1.
- Free on Sundays, holidays, and overnight.
- Hourly fees ~3–5 PLN in outer zones, more in the centre.
Residential permits
If you live in a paid zone, register for a resident permit (karta parkowania) at the city office — much cheaper daily parking near home.
Private and underground
- Parking garażowy — private underground, charged by hour or monthly.
- Shopping centres offer free short stays (1–3 hours) with validation.
Enforcement
- Wardens fine unpayed parking; wheel clamps and towing in some zones.
- Disabled badge (karta parkingowa) allows free parking in marked spots.
Tips
- Snap the pay confirmation; some apps fail and you can still be fined.
- Avoid parking in bus lanes or tram stops — heavy fines.
